BlackRock’s research unit has said China should no longer be considered an emerging market and recommended investors boost their exposure to the country by as much as three times.

139 Chinese securities firms have generated a combined total of 232.4 bn RMB in H1 2021. The net profit of 125 companies totalled 90.3 bn RMB and 14 companies ended up in the red. 

4 out of 10 most liquid foreign stocks in July 2021 were Chinese compared to 3 in June. These 4 Chinese stocks constituted over 13% of the total trading volume of the SPB Exchange in July 2021. Out of the top 10 foreign stock holdings of Russian investors, 3 are Chinese.

A new mechanism has been agreed by both the SSE (Shanghai Stock Exchange) and SZSE (Shenzhen Stock Exchange) to allow board transfers of companies listed on the NEEQ (National Equities Exchange and Quotations, the “new third board”) to the STAR Market on the SSE or GEM Board on the SZSE respectively.

The Moscow Exchange has opened a record number of new brokerage accounts for individual investors.

Building on the success of its first Chinese asset management industry analysis and report, the Russian-Chinese investment and consulting group Caderus Capital has launched the Russian asset management industry research, with the participation of the Moscow Exchange.
